Every time I put it on, I'm struck at how well produced it is, and how freaking TERRIFIC the music direction is. Give Rob Berman & John Bell ALL the awards, as far as I'm concerned. Not only does the orchestra sound bananas, but the singers are all absolutely on the same page, stylistically. I really think it's quite possibly the best-sounding Sondheim cast recording I've ever heard.
