Barbara Cook's vocals on the mostly forgotten The Grass Harp are also superb. Like you, I'm a huge fan of her renditions of "Magic Moment", "Something You Never Had Before", "The Label on the Bottle", and her duet with Walter Chiari "Who Can? You Can", all from The Gay Life.

I met Cook twice. When my partner and I saw Barbara Cook's Broadway, she actually pulled me into the show because I knew a lot about The Shop Around the Corner. We had an extended conversation, which was recorded and intended to be on the planned 2-CD release. I had to sign a waiver after the performance was over. Unfortunately, the decision to go with just highlights on a single CD scuttled my chance to be featured on a Broadway cast recording.
