It is a nice career boost for him, but you’re over spinning.
Groff didn’t open the movie on the back of his stardom, the movie opened itself on the back of the director and the genre. And while it did beat out “Avatar 2”, so did “80 for Brady” (because Avatar is reaching the end of its concentric lifespan), and at $14 million, this was the lowest opening weekend in Shyamalan’s career.
