| Your mentioning an O'Hara Norma reminded me of a daring idea, back when the show was seeking replacements. Florence Henderson. A terrific singer with a luminous presence, Henderson was likely typed out. Yet she might've found something very real in Norma and delivered magnificently. I always thought the casting short lists for the character were too niche. |
