| Given how far Encores! has strayed from its original mission, it's pretty shocking that, in this case, they've chosen to present the original version, rather than a revised version. Perhaps someone involved didn't like the revision enough and didn't think it had much of a shot to transfer. Or maybe whomever controls Jerry Herman's work now wouldn't give permission to use the revision. |
