| Thanks for sharing. Interesting read. I see Rafael Payare of the San Diego Symphony is on the (potential) list. He's a gifted conductor, but, I imagine there are too many similarities between him and Dudamel for him to be a serious contender. This is LA, after all, and the new MD will need a 'story'. I would not be surprised if, as the article suggests, they do choose a woman. And, to quote noted flutist Lizzo, it's about damn time! |
