| I have to ask the question - what's the difference between streaming and things like "Live at Lincoln Centre"? The versions of ""Sweeney Todd", Sunday in the Park with George" and "Into the Woods" are beloved by a certain generation of theatregoers and are how most of that generation first encountered a Sondheim musical - and are probably very big reasons why the cult has built like it has. Do you really think that the multiple revivals of "Into the Woods" have their income stream cut into by the Lapine version being available on dvd and streaming these days? |
