I don’t think she IS bad.
But that’s how everyone in Belleville sees her. That’s the point, really.
I guess that’s maybe the inherent problem— more could be done to set up why everyone else THINKS she’s bad, but because she’s the protagonist, we’re naturally going to see her more favourably.
But I never thought she was actually SUPPOSED to be bad— just misperceived by the ACTUAL villains of the piece, the vapid citizens. |
