| When I think of “bad,” in this context, I don’t think of her as objectively bad (like the villains). I’m thinking “badass” - a misunderstood rebel - but actually good at heart. To me, that’s what’s being suggested by the title and the ad campaign, using an image of her with the can of spray paint. Perhaps that’s just my projection, but I thought we were going to get a very different take on the Cinderella character. Instead, it’s all rather conventional, nothing really badass about this Cinderella. |
