| One more cut song from LOVE LIFE was commercially recorded: "What More Do I Want?" It is sung by Jo Sullivan on Ben Bagley's KURT WEILL REVISITED VOL. II (though she doesn't sing the slightly extended second ending). Bagley found it in the Yale Music Library archives, to which Lotte Lenya donated a cache of material in the 1960s. I have seen the manuscript there, and it clearly was intended for LOVE LIFE. It was replaced during the writing process by "Green-Up Time." |
