Respectfully and thoughtfully worded, Thom915. For what it’s worth, JFK often listened to show music. Dave Powers recalled him tearfully listening to the cast recording of FINIAN’S RAINBOW when he learned his sister had died in a plane crash; he had seen the show with her. And Alan Jay Lerner had been his classmate at Harvard, hadn’t he?* It’s not that big of a stretch to imagine him liking the glorious score of CAMELOT.
*They were also both patients of the notorious Dr. Irving Jacobsen. |
