It always depends on if there's an entity that want to fund it.
Encores has had several cast recordings, even recent ones. But I think it's usually when the author's estate or something like that wants it recorded.
I would think Herman's estate has enough money and interest in this being recorded that they'd pay for it, but who knows.
Also, I don't think we're likely to get a better performance of the score than the Angela OBC - including Donna. So while I'd love to have any others, I am not sure it's necessary especially without Jerry alive and doing work on a revision. |
