"I will say it's always nice to see Christopher Fitzgerald on stage. I've seen him in several shows, but I don't know if he's ever been the lead in a Broadway production."
Agreed about Mr. Fitzgerald. He's a fine, distinctive performer. And while he may never have been the lead on Broadway, he played the title role in "Barnum" about 10 years ago at the Chichester Festival. The night I saw the show, there was a power failure which brought the show to a halt midway through. Fitzgerald entertained the audience for several minutes while the problem was fixed and in so doing endeared himself to the audience. |
