And nowadays, productions of THE SOUND OF MUSIC always use the songs Richard Rodgers wrote for the film version "I Have Confidence" (for Maria), and "Something Good" (for Maria and the Captain). They are included in the licensed materials.
Some productions do keep the stage originals "No Way to Stop It" & "How Will Love Survive", but you never hear "An Ordinary Couple".
I like both SOM movie songs: "I Have Confidence" is great for Maria's motivations in Act I, and "Something Good" is more melodic than "Ordinary Couple" (IMHO).

In contrast, I hate the movie songs being interpolated into GREASE. They aren't stylistically correct. The "title" song and "You're the One that I Want" are pure disco-era 1978. The songs in the original piece are all composed to reflect different 1950s-styles. Plus the movie, as popular as it was/is, began the dumbing down of "Grease", turning a rough, edgy youth piece into a family-friendly fantasy with a car flying away into the air at the finale (something you would expect from an AIP beach party film, Not all all the tough, raunchy piece GREASE was (originally) as a stage musical. Can one even license the 1972 GREASE anymore? Each revivial was subsequently weaker & weaker tea!
