"I Have Confidence" is not always used in stage productions of THE SOUND OF MUSIC. I have seen a few productions where it was, but the 2015 tour directed by Jack O'Brien did not use it, and it wasn't used in the NBC-Carrie Underwood version either. "How Can Love Survive," "No Way to Stop It," and "Something Good" were all used in both productions. In the 2015 tour (I saw it in 2016) they also used different/new lyrics in parts of "Something Good," and there was also a brief reprise of the song following the wedding.

A friend brought me a Playbill from when she saw the 1998 Broadway revival, and if I remember correctly, they moved songs around to try to match the movie even more, putting "My Favorite Things" in the bedroom scene, for instance. I'm not sure what they did with "The Lonely Goatherd." Did anyone here see that production?
