| Yes, I know this isn't really a revival of Dancin', but I didn't even like the true-Fosse version. Part of the reason may have been because I saw what seemed to be a rather listless Wednesday matinee performance, but it was fairly early in the run so it was puzzling to see the cast hardly seeming to care at points that early in the run. My memory is that a lot seemed like stuff you might see on a TV variety show, probably decent enough for something like that, but not what I expected from Fosse. (And sometimes TV variety shows did have good dance numbers.) |
