| One point I would make about Fosse- unlike Robbins and possibly Bennett (I have not seen much Balanchine work)- his work is so consistently stylized that seeing a compendium of his work will inevitably seem redundant. If one saw all production numbers from Fosse you would know intuitively it all came from the same choreographer. But if you saw all the numbers in JR'S Broadway (and didn't otherwise know the work or title of the show), you could believe that those dances came from different creators. |
