| Saw it Sunday and found the lack of chemistry confounding, and the explanation at the end for the lack of heat between Arthur and Guinevere false. And aside from some hit-you-over-the-head longing looks, the developing Lancelot/Guinevere attraction falls short as well. Without that, those gorgeous songs, backed by a spectacular orchestra, are just songs and don't move the plot along. Aaron Sorkin brings some well-placed humor to the book but I would have preferred a love triangle that made some sense emotionally. I won't say more as it would spoil how the love triangle plays out. | |
