Cranston is overestimating the singing ''demand'' in ''Damn Yanlees.'' Applegate has only one song, ''Those Were the Good Ol' Days,'' and it's a simple soft-shoe vaudevillian number, which could be talk-sung if needed. It's not ''Soliloquy'' from ''Carousel'' or ''Epiphany'' from ''Sweeney Todd.''
