| As much as I appreciated the brilliance of Donna Murphy in this production, I have to say I found her use of a script very distracting and it really limited my ability to suspend disbelief. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I would assume that even though she had limited rehearsal time with the company due to having tested positive for Covid, wouldn't she have had her lines down cold knowing she'd be doing this for months. (she knew all of her songs without book). The idea of going into rehearsals for Encores without a full command of the text seems very unlikely to me |
