in "lady, be good|, there's a reference to a red book with instructions on how to pass as the widow. the actress came out in those next scenes with her scrip in a red book instead of the black she'd been using. cute detail.
as others have said, i'm more surprised when nobody is on book then when the cast is carrying (if not using) scripts.
