Ah, because of course we must press this alarm bell every time, nevermind the more obvious point about representation of the Queer community here.
I only learned after this announcement that Lucas Hedges identifies as "existing on [a] spectrum: Not totally straight, but also not gay and not necessarily bisexual" per a 2018 interview and I find nothing about the subject since, but last I saw, Faist is an openly heterosexual actor.
I suppose they couldn't find an openly gay or bi actor on either side of the Atlantic, seeing as how they came to the States for both stars.
That's the real shame here as we have such an expansive and capable roster, though with not near the opportunities afforded their heterosexual counterparts... but again... |
