| I'm not one of those pedants who gets hung up on an actor's actual age. It's how they 'read' on stage that matters. After all, Len Cariou's roles in A Little Night Music and Sweeney Todd probably wouldn't be right for the average 30-something actor today, but he was a perfect fit. I think Taron reads his age (33) or even younger. He feels at least a decade too young for Sweeney, but I've also never seen him on stage, so I could be completely wrong. He's a good actor and I think you're right, if someone as big as he is had a genuine interest in Sweeney, I would imagine producers would be thrilled to see if he's a fit. |
