| The run time was just under 90 minutes but felt longer. Comedy/farce that beats the same jokes to a pulp. The cast works hard but so much of it falls flat (at least for me). D’Arcy Carden comes off the best. | |

| I saw the original production at Playwrights Horizons and agree with Jameson's assessment. It was long and beat the same jokes to a pulp. I m venturing a guess that no work has been done on this play between the original production and the Second Stage production. A truly forgettable evening in the theatre. J |

| I quite enjoyed the production of The Thanksgiving Play that reopened Maryland's Olney Theatre in September of 2021 after Covid, and three years after the production at Playwrights Horizons. WaPo review attached below: | |
