| CELLINO V. BARNES: THE PLAY SET FOR LIMITED ENGAGEMENT THIS SPRING FRIDAY, APRIL 14th – SUNDAY, MAY 7th OFF-OFF BROADWAY AT 320 WEST 23RD STREET THE NEW COMEDY (PLAYING IN A VACANT N.Y.C. OFFICE SPACE) LAMPOONS THE ESCALATING FEUD BETWEEN PERSONAL INJURY ATTORNEYS ROSS CELLINO AND STEVE BARNES AND THE RESULTING SCORCHED-EARTH BATTLE THAT PLAYED OUT QUITE PUBLICLY ACROSS NEW YORK (New York, NY – March 30, 2023) – Cameron Koffman and David Pochapin, producers of Cellino v. Barnes: The Play, a new Off-Off Broadway comedy lampooning the escalating feud and very public scorched-earth battle between personal injury attorneys Ross Cellino and Steve Barnes (the infamous legal eagles whose 888 jingle still lives rent free in many a New Yorker's head), today announced that the show will play a limited engagement this Spring. Written and performed by Mike B. Breen and David Rafailedes, the production begins previews Friday, April 14th and continues through Sunday, May 7th at 320 West 23rd Street. www.cellino-v-barnes.com Cellino v. Barnes: The Play tells the story of two men whose conflicting ideas of success lead them to jealousy, resentment, and heated debate over which shade of white the office toilets should be. A dangerous mix of friendship and business ignited a business that would change the New York skyline forever. The show spotlights them exploiting each other's skill sets and shortcomings to create billions in revenue, a toxic work environment, and the most haunting jingle we've ever laid ears on. Discover the lies, the backstabbing, and which one is the bald one at New York's #1 comedic play in the country about New York injury attorneys! Cellino V. Barnes: The Play is a site-specific show, performing in a vacant commercial space outfitted to give audiences the feel of an austere (if dismal) law office, rather than a traditional theatre. The space is managed by the non-profit Chashama, which is dedicated to connecting artists and audiences with unused New York real estate. Cellino V. Barnes: The Play first debuted as a "one night only" in Brooklyn at Union Hall in July 2018. Since then, there have been over 20 shows in Buffalo, Brooklyn (The Bell House and Union Hall) and Los Angeles – all of which have sold out. Even Ross Cellino himself came to see the show when it performed in Buffalo – and enthusiastically rated it "10 out of 10 stars!" "We're thrilled to bring laughter to New Yorkers through the sheer absurdity of Cellino and Barnes, their jingle, and their iconic breakup – which is one of the most notorious of the past decade," says Producer Koffman. "New Yorkers of all walks of life are united in the way they instantaneously recognize those names – and many can't shake the 888 jingle, adds Co-Producer Pochapin. "When we were presented with an opportunity to produce this show and give this New York story its first extended run, we couldn't pass it up." The production features set design by Colleen Murray, lighting design by Ebony Burton. The Production Stage Manager is Nora Alexander. Performances of Cellino V. Barnes: The Play are on Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00pm; Saturdays at 5:00pm and 8:30pm; and Sundays at 6:00PM. The full performance schedule can be found here. Tickets are $42.77 and can be purchased online. The running time is a swift 75 minutes. Mike B. Breen is a writer, director, and actor from Buffalo, NY living in Los Angeles.
