I'm surprised there has been no discussion of "Up Here," the new series on Hulu. With Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez among the writers, and Thomas Kail directing the first two episodes, I thought it would be a natural for All That Chat. The cast includes Broadway vets Andrea Burns, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Norm Lewis, Katie Finneran, Judy Kaye, Carlos Valdes, and more.
My quick take: the cast was great, but the story was weak, and only about half the musical numbers landed. |
