Here's a partial list of Tony Award-winning Best Musicals that debuted in houses that are no longer considered to be Broadway venues, or no longer exist. These figures are all from the Internet Broadway Database:

"Man of La Mancha" debuted in 1965 and was the final show to play the ANTA Washington Square Theatre, 40 W. 4th St. "Man of La Mancha" later transferred to the Martin Beck Theatre (now Al Hirschfeld) in 1968, and the musical played other venues like the Eden Theatre and the Mark Hellinger Theatre before concluding its original run in 1971.

"My Fair Lady" debuted in 1956 at the Mark Hellinger Theatre at 1655 Broadway & 237 W. 51st St. "My Fair Lady" would also include transfers to the Broadhurst Theatre and Broadway Theatre to finish its original run in 1962. The Nederlanders closed the Mark Hellinger Theatre in 1989, which then became the Times Square Church.

"Kismet" debuted in 1953 at the Ziegfeld Theatre at 6th Avenue at W. 54th St. The venue closed in 1965 and was demolished the following year. "Show Boat" (1927), Noel Coward's "Bittersweet" (1929), "Brigadoon" (1947) and "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" (1949) are a few other notable musicals that debuted at the Ziegfeld Theatre.

"Kiss Me, Kate" debuted in 1948 at the New Century Theatre at 932 N. Seventh Ave. (at 58th Street), later transferring to the Shubert Theatre for its final season on Broadway from 1950-51. The New Century Theatre closed in 1954 and was demolished in 1962.
