| Like J Harrison Ghee, Newell has the dilemma of which category in whihc to be nominated. I believe that Ghee has already stated they will accept a nomination in the Best Actor category but I may not be remembering correctly (I don't thein the Tony Committee made a statement on this.) I don't know in which category Newell will be placed. I do know for the one award prediously for which they received a nomination (for Zooey's Extraordinary Playlist) they were in the Best Supporting Actor category so I think they again may be placed in the Actor catefory again which might mean there would be two gender non conforming performers competing in that category. Of course one could be placed in a supporting catefory. |
