Perhaps? No other reason for this race to open other than making the Tony Award a race between Oscar Isaac and Stanley McKinley Henderson. I do not know that the production itself would be a strong contender for Best Revival but will likely merit a nomination. Similarly I don't think Rachel Brosnahan will win a Tony but could also be nominated. Ditto Miriam Silverman.
