Kinda strange to me that he would devote so much time to this. I rushed and saw it last weekend and while it wasn't "bad" per se, I would describe it as thoroughly mediocre. Just over the top in a way that isn't pleasurable but more along the lines of "beats you into submission." Just a busy, jumbled mess that desperately needs editing. It'll make it through the summer but probably not much longer after that.
Also, I know he does so much for the community but Lin-Manuel has become exhausting. Just my opinion, of course. ;) |
