It’s so strange. They’re taking songs, keeping the exact rhythms, and slightly changing the notes with new lyrics. I don’t know what to make of it. Not saying I like it or hate it. The show at its best for me was “Cross That Bridge” from season one. A completely original song with merely an homage to Frank Loesser. And beautifully staged.
