As we roll into the end of the season, its fun to speculate.

Looks like we have alot of choices in most of the categories. Except, outstanding performance by an actress in a play. Who can go up against Audra? First, she gave a superb performance! Second, everyone loves her. Third, who is her competition? Perhaps Laurie Metcalf? Rachel Brosnahan? Even if they are able to fill the category, seems unilkey that anyone can take the win from her.

(Death of a Salesman...with a 2020 Olivier award ) will certainly give Ms McDonald a run for her money.
My vote is for Ms Clarke.

For Prima Facie. We'll see how it's received on Broadway once previews begin next week but she got rave reviews in London and just won the Olivier.

There aren't many contenders this year. I believe the others eligible are:
Jessica Chastain, A Doll's House
Zoe Wanamaker, Pictures from Home
Laura Linney, Summer 1976
Jessica Hecht, Summer 1976
plus Rachel Brosnahan, as you mentioned. And I could see an argument being made for Katie Finneran being considered the lead of Thanksgiving Play.

Grey House opens next season so Laurie Metcalf will be eligible for the 2024 Tonys.

Yes, I have to say her performance is astounding, at least on film, or tape or whatever it is.

Jessica Chastain gives a better performance in a better production than Audra. It's not a contest for me on this one.

Completely agree. I saw both performances and though impressed with McDonald’s peerless command as always, found the piece’s conceit and its staging constricting. Chastain remints Nora in both obvious - the contemporaneity - and mysterious ways.

Here's hoping there will be an overdue narrative built up around Laura Linney. Consistently excellent, with five nominations - not to mention she kept losing Emmys to Zendaya.

Yes, Linney has lost 2 Emmys to Zendaya (''Euphoria'') and even 1 to Jodie Comer (''Killing Eve''), but Linney already DOES have 4 Emmys.

I'd love to see Linney win her first Tony Award. I was rooting for her to triumph with ''The Little Foxes'' (2017), but it wasn't her year.

OT, but as an Ozark fan, her string of Emmy losses makes me want to see her win … something.
