The "Lady" situation seems blown way out of proportion to me. I understand the issue, but I think rescinding a job offer over is an over reaction. "Lady" is never a wise word choice unless you know the group you're addressing. However, it is still a very frequently used word (perhaps ironically but some) and I don't think is rises to the level of an egregious mistake. |
