I doubt this will do well on tour even with a best musical tony win. Six was packed in San Fran but I don’t think other tour shows have done that well.

Fun Home seems the most recent parallel. How did it do on the road? Won't they need a star?

I'd love to see Mare Winningham in the role. She might sell some tickets.

Is it a tough sing? I think Mare Winningham's a great idea for the role, if she could do it.

How do you know how well touring productions sold last week?

I remember the touring grosses being reported in Variety, but they're not anymore (to my knowledge). I used to enjoy getting to see those grosses, too. Are they reported elsewhere?

''Moulin Rouge!'' looked pretty packed the various times I saw it in San Francisco, but maybe I got lucky.

It was discounted.

I think I paid $70 for front orch including fees. But it was here longer than 4 week subscription run so harder to fill. Hadestown did well and is coming back but I think they had to cancel the last week for covid.

I can’t see many coming to KAkimbo but it’s typical to announce a national tour getting close to tony nominations.

They’re sitting back there if that’s what they can afford…
