Emblematic of the wrong-headedness and thoughtlessness of this production is when the Round Table finally shows up, it’s rectangular.
By removing all the magic from the story, they’ve excised all the magic of the original musical. The three leads are left stranded by ridiculous decisions by all behind the scenes.
Having said that, Philippa Soo is glorious in the role of Jenny. But Mr. Sher has left her adrift at sea.Just a note to the creatives of future musical revivals. Don’t let Aaron Sorkin destroy your book. |
