I'm not sure what you mean by that. Awards are given for Best Play and Best Revival of a Play, but there's not a separate award for Best Playwright. It's not unheard-of for the Best Revival of a Play award to go to a production of a play by a living writer (it happened last year with Take Me Out) but officially the award is presented to the producer.
