| What an enjoyable evening. Sean Hayes’s full range of talents was on display in his multi-dimensional portrayal of Jack Paar’s favorite Tonight Show guest, the iconoclastic wit, brilliant musician and often emotionally unstable Oscar Levant. A slew of Levant’s actual hilarious quips are peppered throughout the play, and I laughed aloud at most of them along with the packed preview audience. The cast is uniformly fine. This one is a pretty likely Tony contender IMHO. |
