Agree with previous poster. More crucially, it feels broader now. The performances are ‘bigger,’ and not (in my mind) a good way. It’s like they’re playing to the back row, hamming it up (if you will) so that we all get it. The audience seemed to eat it up but I found it much less compelling.
Otherwise it’s more or less the same staging. Some of the ghost effects are tweaked, and perhaps a tad more impressive here. But I didn’t notice any major differences. |
