Does anyone else feel like this new recording's poorly mixed at times? To my ears it seems that the main characters are often drowned out by either the chorus or the orchestra? I first noticed it in track 1 where Howard McGillin's vocal slowly becomes lost. Perhaps that's the intent?
But I do have to say that I still find this a thrilling score, and I'm thrilled to have a new recording. |
