I got the same number right as Eckmann, although my score is lower because neither of my Big Bets (Caroline Innerbichler and Andrew Durand) paid off. I'm kicking myself for making two last-minute changes, both in the wrong direction: adding Thomas Kail for Directing and Life of Pi for Score.
One of my biggest payoffs was Cost of Living for Best Play, and that's where seeing the shows helps. It was obvious to me after seeing Cost of Living that it would be nominated for Best Play, and after seeing Prima Facie that it was vulnerable. I didn't see Topdog/Underdog or Ain't No Mo', which may have hurt me because I didn't pick them for anything.
In general, I do worse picking the winners than the nominees for the Tonys, so I'm not expecting to do well in that contest. |
