Nancy feeds the words to Oliver in the stage version too. That's not in dispute. Dodger is the one ultimately duetting with Nancy, not Oliver.
Though of course, the idea that Nancy is "teaching" Oliver the song does imply, at least to me, that they've all done this routine before. Is this song something that all of Fagin's new recruits learn?
