Flat as Janis Paige sometimes is on the OCR of "Pajama Game", she sure had energy in roles which allowed her to display verve and enthusiasm; "7 1/2 Cents" probably played like gangbusters live when she did it. Hopefully she was just tired vocally when she recorded her songs probably soon after opening night.
