| Oh, it's more the lyrics that kill me, and the complete obnoxiousness of the earworm. I hate the way the song keeps stopping cold to do the calculations after the endless "only 10 years from today" stuff each time. Kills the momentum. I have to snicker at a line like "I can see it like a vision" (even though I get the intention, but it still sounds insipid on its face). Also, the entire premise of the lyric - that 7.5 cents on its own means nothing, but it accumulates - I mean really, we've been waiting the whole show for THAT????? :-) |
