I wish I could find it on YouTube, but Seth Rudetsky does a funny deconstruction of Janis Paige's vocal in ''There Once Was a Man.''

Seth uses a paddle to indicate where Paige's voice would flip from her head voice to chest voice and vice versa.

For what it's worth, Wikipedia cites a source, possibly John Raitt, who claims that Frank Loesser really wrote ''There Once Was a Man.''

Anyway, my favorites from Ross & Adler's score are ''Hey There,'' ''Hernando's Hideaway'' and even the catchy ''7 1/2 Cents.''

On hte other hand, I agree that ''Her Is'' is one of the most insipid lyrics I've ever heard, and grammatically, it's a train wreck.
