I'd believe ''A Bushel and a Peck'' was a hit, too, but i'm skeptical Loesser would've dropped it for fear of a lawsuit. It's still in the stage show, right?

I think the reason I cited (from Wikipedia) is more likely: Goldwyn didn't like the song, so he had Loesser write a new song to replace it in the movie.
