The New York Drama Critics Circle are meeting this afternoon to pick their winners.
My predictions for the Drama Critics are:
Best Musical - No Award (Kimberly Akimbo won last year). If they give an award, it will be to Some Like It Hot.
Best Play - Either Downstate or A Case for the Existence of God
If the Best Play is an American play, they have a Best Foreign Play, which I think will be Leopoldstadt.
As for the Pulitzers, it seems many of the leading contenders are not eligible. I would love it if A Case for the Existence of God won, but I have a feeling it will be a finalist but the winner will be something out of left field. |
