Same thing in opera. Mostly, operas are only referred to by composer, and the librettist is "persona au gratin" (trivia: name the show and the book writer who came up with that pun). Occasionally, there's a reference to Da Ponte, or Hofmannsthal, or Boito, but generally not.
Then there was the odd one - a few years ago, a radio broadcast of a small American opera company's production of Man Of La Mancha. The listing was billed as "Wasserman: Man of La Mancha." (It was indeed the musical, though.) |
