| You said it. Land acknowledgement is the kind of empty gesture for which the term "virtue signaling" was invented. I live outside of NYC and attend regional theater on a regular basis. It always feels especially galling when it comes from predominantly white institutions that certainly have no Native Americans (and few, if any, people of color at all) on their staff. |
