I'm seeing the show on Friday -- actually not completely dismayed by the idea of Gavin Lee as 'Fagin,' as he would be exciting casting (were it not for Raul).
So, it's COVID? I don't know why they wouldn't announce that Raul will just be out for a while -- are they trying to mitigate the daily calls to refund/reschedule?
Or just announce that he's left the production for "personal reasons" and celebrate that Lee will perform for the remainder of the limited run?
I think the silence from City Center only exacerbates issues ... people are mostly forgiving for COVID-related understudies and/or emergency personal situations. |
