| I saw the first national tour of Dancin' during its Miami stop. As an aspiring dancer to be, I believe I was 12 or 14(?), I wasn't impressed, it left me, disappointed, I suppose is the best way to describe my reaction. I'd of loved to have seen the original cast which I am sure would've made it magical. When I heard there was going to be a revival, I didn't have high hopes and even less interest in seeing it. Also, I really disliked Fosse which consisted mostly of excerpts from Dancin'! I am also no fan of the current production of Chicago. Why not just stage the original? But what do I know? It's still running years and years later. I wish there was some way to recreate the original, at least dances, from Redhead which are meant to be Fosse's most innovative.
